Getting married (Dan and I, that is, after 25 years together
. . .
Jessie has only been planning this since she was 5, so she was happy!).
A Youth Volunteer of the Year award for Jessie from the
Ottawa Foodbank,
where she volunteers three mornings a week.
A major show for Propeller Dance
(highlight = drummer boy came to see the
show).
The Canadian Down Syndrome Society conference in Toronto
(highlight = drummer boy was
there too).
Braces!
(highlight = drummer boy came to hold her hand
through the process and get in one last non-metallic kiss).
We are into summer mode, which involves lots of volunteering at festivals (Company of Fools, Dusk Dances) the regular FoodBank volunteer schedule (Monday, Wednesday, Friday mornings, and check out the great promo video), Dragon Boat training, a trip to camp, one to Maine, with gaps filled in by trips to the beach and mini-put with DB. Theme? The girl is in love; all else pales in comparison. As I am sure anyone would agree when looking at the photos of them together at our wedding:
They think they are sneaking off for a kiss, but there is no
one within a three-mile radius who can resist the lure of their chemistry.
